Getting Here

Locations and Parking

All of our spaces are located on Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus (1032 W. Sheridan Rd.). The three buildings that house our exhibitions and performances are the Mundelein Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (1020 W. Sheridan Rd.), the Ralph Arnold Annex (1131 W. Sheridan Rd.), and the Madonna Della Strada Chapel (6453 N. Kenmore Ave.)

The best parking for each of these buildings is in our main parking structure (1038 N. North Kenmore Ave W.), located at the intersection of N. Winthrop Ave. and W. Sheridan Rd. The structure can only be accessed via N. Kenmore Ave., which borders the western façade of the Mundelein Center. The price is $7 flat rate, parking is free on Sunday.

Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus can also be easily accessed by CTA public transportation. On the L, take the Red Line to the Loyola stop and cross the street onto campus, then head south towards W. Sheridan Rd. You could also exit at the Granville stop, head north on N. Winthrop Ave. and take a right on W. Sheridan Rd. On a bus, take the 147/151 to Sheridan and Kenmore from the North or South. Both bus and L fares are $2.25 one way.

Our Spaces

Newhart Family Theatre
(1020 W. Sheridan Rd., 2nd Floor)
The Newhart is located on the 2nd floor of the Mundelein Center for the Fine and Performing arts. An intimate thrust stage and state-of-the-art technical equipment characterize our primary Dance and Theatre performance venue, providing the ideal environment for our students to grow and explore while providing our audiences with the comfort and professionalism that they’ve come to expect.

The Newhart Family Theatre was dedicated in October 2012, in conjunction with the reopening of the Mundelein building as the Mundelein Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. The theatre is so named on behalf of the alumnus actor and comedian Bob Newhart, who graduated from Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business in 1952, and his family. All three of Newhart’s sisters attended Mundelein College, the original identity of the building.
